Applications for funding are categorised by type of project (advocacy or research) and, in the case of advocacy projects, by energy type.

Applications are for:

• Advocacy projects for the benefit of consumers of electricity
• Advocacy projects for the benefit of consumers of natural gas
• Advocacy projects for the joint benefit of consumers of electricity and consumers of natural gas
• Research projects for the benefit of consumers of electricity, consumers of natural gas, or both
