Consumer Advocacy Panels: Who Benefits?

Consumer advocacy is essential in all sectors that involve buyers to ensure their rights and interests are maintained. The advocacy is not a one-sided thing since as it helps protect consumer rights, it is also considerate towards the service and product providers.

Its main responsibility, however, is towards the consumers. For this reason, product and service providers may, at times, be pushed to the edge as they advocate for consumer interests. This is a reason why consumer advocacy could be of merit towards the providers.

Why Businesses Need Consumer Advocacy Panels

Product providers have something to benefit from the existence of consumer advocacy groups. Advocacy platforms try to prevent their consumers from the consumption of harmful products. Retail businesses also benefit since they will not buy the hazardous products from manufacturers, which would end up going bad in their stores. Once consumers have been advised not to acquire a certain product, businesses will also keep off it. In addition, consumers are also protected, thus saving lives. This means that companies will be operational because they have people to sell goods and services to.

Another reason why retail businesses find consumer advocacy panels beneficial is that the quality of goods provided in the market is usually high. The advocating groups have a means to address issues to manufacturers of products. They try to bargain for a raise in the standards of goods being made. This means that the production of low quality will be very minimal. Businesses will, therefore, acquire high-quality goods to supply to the consumers, thus promoting their brand.

As stated earlier, this can be termed as a blessing in disguise. Sometimes the businesses could be in disagreement with the advocacy organisations as they try to protect the consumers. Despite being at loggerheads, companies still need consumer advocacy panels in some way.
